Winter Weather

So despite my prediction, though there is still time for for a crazy storm to happen. My base location of Salem, OR was pretty much under water for a few days. Nothing compared to Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, which there’s an interesting story there, but for Salem this was quite crazy. And nothing makes me laugh more than going on a run with my dog, and seeing residents camped outside their houses with a trash can fire just watching as drivers tried to go through a flooded road. If they made it they got cheered by the residents, if not, well as far as I could tell they either made it just fine or didn’t even attempt. But glad my family and friends made it past this minor experience.

Winter Prediction

So I know I’m a little late. But I did make a prediction at the beginning of summer. Prediction being that, at least for the Willamette Valley metro area, I think we are going to have an especially cold winter. Thinking possibly one of the biggest snow seasons that we’ve had for a few years here.
